 Sydney Marathon Supporters

(AAB) is pleased to support Rory Kuskie, Nick Lahey and Dougal Manns as they embark on the Sydney Marathon.

These men will be doing their part in raising money to help AAB continue to assist cattle graziers in need.

Dougal comes from the Toowoomba region, with his parents originating from south-western Queensland. His mother’s side were shearers from Dirranbandi, and his father’s family were graziers on a property called ‘Tartulla’ south of Mitchell.

Rory also comes from Toowoomba, with his parents coming from the south Burnett region and regional North Queensland. Rory’s mother’s side of the family are graziers on ‘Collopy’ and ‘Rainsby’, properties 100km south of Townsville and 140km north of Aramac, respectively.

Nick was born and raised on ‘Alice Dale’, a cattle property in the Wyaga district 70kms north-east of Goondiwindi. Nick’s family has lived in this area since 1956, when his grandfather drew a block in a land ballot. The family enterprise focuses on breeding, using Wagyu bulls over a predominantly Angus cow herd, as well as opportunistic trading of cattle.

These men collectively agreed that assisting cattle graziers hits close to home for all of them, particularly since several communities are still experiencing and recovering from drought and recent flooding.

The marathon kicks off on 15 September 2024.

We wish these men all the very best in their final preparations and the run, and we trust that these snazzy Adopt-A-Beast hats will give them the extra boost they need to get across the line.
